The Bowie Library is a happy place and busy! What makes it this way? Everyone! It is truly a nice place to visit and stay for awhile. Our doors are open to everyone in the community: children, adults, grandparents, community organizations and more.
Our mission is to make our library a place where children and adults want to visit and relax. More importantly, to ensure that every child, teacher, and parent finds at least one book at each visit that brings a smile to his or her face. Plus, it is our goal to meet the needs of everyone who comes in here looking for that 'something,' be it information, a good book, or a smiling face.
Library Schedule
Our schedule is open and flexible. The doors open at 7:30 for homework help and close at 4:00 on most days. During the day the schedule is never the same from one day to the next aside from the scheduled book clubs and PreKindergarten story times.
Students
We have many good books here in both English and Spanish. I am always willing to help you find what you need or want. I can also help you with your homework, class assignments, and even let you kick back and relax in our reading area.
Parents
You are welcome at any time to our library! You may wish to come with your child during his or her class' story time or stop in before or after school, to check out books. You area also encouraged to feel free to use the computers and facilities as well.
