Dear Bowie Elementary Families:
As your new Bowie Elementary Principal, I say! “Hello and Welcome” to a New Great School Year!! For the 2009-2010 school year, Bowie Elementary School was rated by Texas Education Agency as an “Exemplary” elementary campus. Congratulations, this was primarily due to the commitment to excellence in everything you worked at last year. Congratulations to the students, staff, teachers and families for a super successful year last year!!! Our Goal is to continue the excellent standards and expectations.
We have high expectations to perform even better during upcoming 2010-2011school year. Please allow me to offer you and your student(s) a warm welcome. To all returning families, it is super great to have you with us again, and to all new families, we extend a special “Thank-You” for choosing Bowie Elementary School. We know careful consideration goes into making this decision as you select the right school district for your child.
As we begin a new school year, I want to remind you of the importance of the relationship between home and school. Working together, we can ensure that your child has a successful school experience. Frequent communications between parents and teachers will contribute to making this school year positive and successful for your child. We do work on an “Open Door” policy.
The beginning of a new and exciting school year is also the perfect time to set goals toward excellence. Encourage your child to give their best at all times. All students are highly encouraged to strive to improve every day and to focus on gaining new knowledge and wisdom. Please set priorities that will allow your child to be successful.
“Learning is an experience that lasts for a lifetime”. The Bowie Elementary students are very fortunate to have world-class teachers. Today is the ideal opportunity to refocus ourselves toward being a “Life Long Learner”.
